The countryside is just delightful, perfect for a lovely hike or bike ride. And the former town hall-turned-hotel is quite overwhelming with its authentic charm.

Who needs coffee in their room anyway? And a fridge?

The hotel was lovely. It's location was great with a good number of shops surrounding it. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was lovely with a wonderful shower. Plenty of towels which were changed daily. Complimentary toiletries were also provided. The bed was extreamly comfortable. Nice tv on the wall which also have a few english channels inc bbc1! Air con also in the room, along with a safe and a balcony overlooking the little village. We ate in the resturant one night and the food was lovely. The breakfast is good, lots to choose from and can go back and have as much as you want. All in all I would love to stay there again and hopefully I will at some point. 10/10

My only negative is that the room didn't have tea or coffee making facilities.

The rooms at Hotel De Schout are beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and modern atmosphere. As a young family, we felt right at home. We loved the comfortable beds and the separate seating areas in the guestrooms. It was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The balcony in the double room was a fantastic addition, allowing us to enjoy the fresh air and take in the lovely surroundings. Room service was a great convenience. It made our stay even more enjoyable, knowing that we could have food delivered right to our room.

Personally, we didn't particularly enjoy the showers. However, it's a subjective opinion, and others may still find them perfectly fine.

I had a wonderful stay at Schout in a marvelous little town. The hotel is perfect for a weekend or a few days away, with plenty of sights to see and beautiful nature to explore. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast at the neighboring restaurant was extensive and of good quality. The service by Elaine during breakfast was excellent, and the hotel is conveniently close to a great swimming pool at Dorper Esch.

I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by friendly staff who efficiently checked me in. My room was spacious and clean, and I especially loved the modern decor. The breakfast served at the neighboring restaurant was outstanding, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Despite a minor issue with the noise level during the night, I had a comfortable stay overall. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast.

All of the rooms allocated for my visits to the Hotel De Schout have been luxurious and very comfortable - with a contemporary and energy efficient design, The restaurant menu is very good and I can recommend the De Schout steak!

I was delighted by the cozy and charming decoration of the hotel. The overall ambiance was comforting and made me feel at home. The general areas of the hotel, such as the lounge and dining area, were easily accessible for senior people like myself. The comfortable seating and well-lit spaces allowed me to relax and socialize with other guests without any difficulty. It was truly a pleasant experience.

I would have appreciated better assistance from the staff regarding vacation activities suitable for senior people. It would have been nice if the children working there had provided more information and guidance in planning my activities during my stay.

The value for money at Hotel De Schout was excellent and the room exceeded our expectations with its spaciousness and modernity. The location was perfect for exploring the area and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.

The breakfast could be improved by offering more vegetarian and vegan options.

Spent Christmas at a hotel in the outskirts of a charming town. The room was spacious, and the staff was very accommodating and attentive throughout our stay. We appreciated the included breakfast buffet and the option to have dinner at the on-site restaurant. the hotel had a lovely view of the surrounding countryside.

The hotel was situated in a noisy area, with some loud music playing into the early hours of the morning. the room's décor was a bit dated and could benefit from some updates.

The room was modern, well equipped with a comfortable bed, very clean and well presented. All of the staff were extremely polite and very helpful. The restaurant/bar had a good atmosphere/ambiance and the meal was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel.

I couldn't fault anything and will be pleased to visit again in the future.
